Bobbi brown corrector?

I want to get the Bobbi brown corrector for my undereye circles and blue-toned discoloration around my mouth.. It says on the website that it's designed to be layered underneath a yellow toned concealer. Is this necessary? Can I use it by itself? Thanks!
